Recent Projects

  • Advice on the sustainable redevelopment of the Clapham Park Estate in Lambeth, London. 150 acre site for some 3,226 homes (601 new affordable rent, 380 new shared ownership, 1,056 new private sale, 52 new special needs, 790 refurbished affordable rent homes and 347 refurbished private homes) with all associated social infrastructure and facilities. Advice on development policy, planning, and finance in respect of both the affordable homes and those developed for the private sector

  • Acquired for clients a 10 acre site in Birmingham for a 1.4m sq ft mixed use development, raised £30m to finance its purchase. Managed the obtaining of Outline Consent
  • Advised on the 1.7m sq ft mixed use "Heart of Slough" Town Centre regeneration proposal

  • Acquired for clients the 50 acre Royals Business Park in London Docklands providing 1.6m sq ft and financed the £70m first phase

  • Advice on the regeneration of the Poble Nou District of Barcelona, Spain

  • Advice on the marketing of the development of Valdebebas – a 2,500 ac site in Madrid with consent for 12,000 houses and 18 m sq ft of commercial space close to the Airport


Previous Activities

  • Joint Chief Executive of The London Docklands Development Corporation which included responsibility for

    • Promoting the revival of Docklands’ property market after the early ‘90s property slump

    • Marketing activities for the LDDC which achieved office lettings of 8m sq ft and the development of 8,260 housing units over 6 years

    • Land Sales achieving the sale of 350 acres of land in Docklands for £140m producing for the area and the LDDC inward investment £900m over 6 years

  • Main Board Director of MEPC plc responsible for identifying and acquiring, and then procuring and letting over 100 developments – 8,000 to 1,000,000 sq ft costing from £1m to £250m and producing a profit of £200m in seven countries
